There are a few tricks for this. Record at x0.250, put the footage in example vDub and increase the fps 4 times so you get the "normal" speed. Not only does this help increasing the fps rate for those who can not record at normal speed without getting fps drops, but it can also make the footage look smoother as the camera movements etc gets better (imo) if you record at a slower speed.
I'm sure there are other ways, you can always read the thread that squiddy wrote. There are a lot of tips there.

If everyone were to follow this, no one would learn how to do edits with rain. You got to do them to learn it, and by publishing the work you can get advice on do's and do not's. But according to you, people that doesn't know how to do something, should just back off from doing it therefore never learning.
There was a time when you didn't know that stuff either.. but you probably learned by doing it anyway.

Not the best render in the world. A few mistakes here and there. I forgot that you wanted the background white but meh.. hopefully it'll do. If not, I'll change it and render it again.. or if someone else gives it a shot.
Working on it, should be done by tomorrow or so. Is it alright if I add a few things here and there? Tires laying by the side etc, or do you just want the car and nothing else in the render?
Just a quicky, not the best render in the world. A few mistakes here and there.
Edit: In fact, there's so many mistakes (and one huge one) that I won't publish this one, I'll do another render and get back to you. Lol.

Alrighty, ran into a problem here that I can't solve. I was experimenting a bit with the floor and reflections, etc and now I can't get it back to default. I managed to make the floor.. graspy? I can't find the word for it. It's a strange noise as floor and background, instead of a smooth, nice floor with the reflection of the cars it's a background full of white/black noise and I can't get it back to default no matter what I do.
Maybe someone here knows the problem (even though the explanation to my problem is somewhat bad), but if someone here knows what I need to do, please explain as detailed as possible.

That's correct, the flashes I used is a transition. I thought about the effects in the vid and one of the biggest reasons to why there are so few in this one is that I found it very hard to implement effects that would be visible for such a short amount of time (bearing in mind that the clips are so short) and still look good. So, when I couldn't come up with anything I decided to leave it be instead of implementing effects just to, well.. basically just to have them there.
I have another project which I've been working on for the past 2-3 months and it's far away from being done. Hopefully that vid will suit those who likes special effects because there are a few in that one. :P
Oh snap! I didn't see that myself until you pointed it out. I used the same camera on a fox scene earlier in that vid which shows the same mistake, but since that fox is having a darker skin it's not that easy to spot.

Some shots are a bit too long for my taste. If you're going to use fast music (dunno how to explain that), you need to use short clips to get some more action to it. The song used isn't especially fast, but uh.. jeez, I need tro practise on how to explain things. :P
The colors are too strong, at least for my eyes. But I've been awake for too long so my eyes might be more tired than usual.
Boring intro, it didn't catch my interest at first. I thought it was a slideshow, and that is not the first impression you want to give the viewer, at least not when you're calling it a "video".
Music didn't really fit, but each to their own. Some people like it, others don't.
Camera angles are nice, I liked 'em.
Overall it's a decent vid but there's alot of room for improvements.
